The 944 is ugly compared to the 924. Also the 924 turbo is pretty affordable.

First off, NO. It is not ugly.

Second, a 931 making only 170hp? Which is only 20hp(or 7hp) more than a 944(150hp or 163hp in Europe). Other than torque are the only things going for it(and that it's a Porsche, kinda), but it's really just an Audi, VW, AMC compilation with a Porsche body and badge.

It's more Porsche than the 924 will ever be. At least it's engine didn't come from an AMC Gremlin; that's right, it took the engine out of the Gremlin which came first.

That's besides the point and irrelevant. I'm not saying they're bad(you jumping to conclusions), the fact of the matter is that the 924 less of a Porsche than any other Porsche(Panamera, Cayenne or Macan). All it has is the badge and nothing else.

It's as closer to VW as the 924 is, maybe slightly more, but it's more desirable than a 924 so people don't really care about that.
